So after a whole 2 years of battle HD DVD has finally collapsed under pressure and passed away. After Toshiba declared that they shall no longer produce HD DVD drives and that all the major film companies will be only releasing their movies on Blu-Ray, this only left Microsoft in the Red corner, fighting for HD DVD --and no one likes Microsoft--(!)
So right here, right now, I'd like to declare HD DVD dead. It had a short life - born in 2006 AD and passed away, at the tender age of 2, in the year 2008 AD. It will always be remembered for its cheapness and its huge storage but now HD DVD has gone to a better place... Amen.
